» Give Your Self-esteem a Makeover!

Page www.catie.org.uk/facesofscience/self_esteem/
Learning
The PSHE section of Faces of Science is designed to stimulate discussion about self-esteem:
  • what it is
  • how it is determined
  • how it impacts on behaviour
  • how it's measured
  • what can affect our self-esteem
  • how we can raise our self-esteem.

We recommend that you download and distribute the Worksheet to your students first.

Have a class discussion first before working through page 1 of the Worksheet.

Then, use the website to extend the session and learn more about how to raise self-esteem. Alternatively you could work through the questions on the website on an interactive whiteboard.

You can use the interactive Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale on the website www.catie.co.uk/facesofscience/self_esteem/screen4.htm or on the sheet.

Complete the Worksheet in conjunction with the website.
